Lesson Planning 2013 Curriculum



LESSON PLANNING

School                          : SMP 1 Batang
Subject                        : Bahasa Inggris
Theme                         : How many pets do you have?
Material                      : Animals in my school and my house.                       Grade/Semester         : VII/Satu
 Time                           : 1 x 20 minutes

A.    Core Competence
1.      Respect and appreciate the teachings of their religion.
2.      Respect and appreciate the honest behavior, discipline, responsibility, caring (tolerance, work together), polite, confident, in interacting effectively with the social and natural environment within reach of the association and its existence.
3.      Understanding knowledge (factual, conceptual and procedural) based on curiosity about science, technology, art, culture and events related phenomena seem eye.
4.      Trying, process, and present in the concrete realm (using, parse, compose, modify, and create) and the abstract realm (writing, reading, counting, drawing, and writing) in accordance with the learned in school and other sources in the same viewpoints / theories.

By the end of the lesson, the students will have been able to mentioned animals at home and school fluently, used pronoun in singular or plural noun and WH question pattern correctly, and written simple text about animal around home and school correctly.

F.        Teaching Activity
a.      Opening  (3 minutes)
1)     Teacher greets students and checks students’ attendance.
2)     Teacher asked one of student to open the lesson by reciting “Basmalah”.
3)     Teacher tells learning goals to the students.

b.      Main Activity (14 minutes)
Observing:
·  Teacher shows a video and asks the student to observe the video related to the material.
· Teacher starts the teaching learning activity by asking some questions as follow:
watch at the video!”
“ What do you think about that video?”
“After watching this video, could you guess what is our material today?”

Questioning:
·      Teacher accepts all students opinion, and guide them to correct the pronounciation.
·      Teacher gives students some questions in order to stimulate them in understanding the material.
Could you mention some animals around your home?”
“How many animals do you have in your home?”
“what are they?” “which one do you like ?”
Exploring:
·      Teacher divides the students in pairs.
·      Teacher asks students to interview their partner and write it down.

Associating:
·      Teacher asks students in pairs to compare some animals that they have in their home.
·      Teacher asks students to write down the description of their animals.

Communicating:
·      Students read their work in front of the class.
·      After all students present their work, teacher gives the students more explanation in front of the class.

c.       Closing ( 3 minutes )
1)      Teacher gives the conclusion of the lesson.
2)      Teacher asks the students whether they have understood about the material or not.
3)      Teacher gives motivation to students.
4)      Teacher greets students and close the lesson
