The students are able to express many kinds of emotional
feeling in oral reading.

Expressing many kinds of emotional feeling like : ( excited,
confused, angry, tired) in reading passage. They also can choose the emotional
feeling may or may not be related to the passage.

This game can help you develop expression. Through this game you can choose many
kinds of emotional feeling may or may not be related to the text.

Emotional feeling : Excited, confused, angry, tired.

Procedure of the game
§ With the class,
brainstorm a list of emotions and physical states (e.g : excited, confused,
angry, tired) with the pictures.
§ The teacher
gives the students many kinds of emotional feeling pictures and also some
reading passages and asks them to work in a group. The teacher tells to the
student they will read the reading passage proper with emotional picture that
they get.
§ In their group
they are taking turn to read a sentence in their reading passage and the other
friends try to guess the feeling.
§ The teacher
asks students to practice in front class.

The examples of reading passages :
My Holiday Was Fantastic
Last summer I got a fantastic holiday. I visited some great places.
I went to an airport and was going to fly to Cleveland. I was spending there two days. I liked to see some Cleveland Cavaliers basketball matches.
Then I went to Hollywood. Hollywood is a famous district in Los Angeles, California, United States. It had become world-famous as the center of the film industry. Four major film companies – Paramount, Warner Bros., RKO and Columbia – had studios in Hollywood. I did not want to leave but I had to.
After that, I went to New York city. I visited the Statue of Liberty. I went from the bottom of Manhattan to the top of the crown. That was very amazing.
The places made me lazy to home but I have to go home. Next time I would return to them.
Absence
Joe's Mother got angry because
her son got a low mark on English test.
"Why did you get such a low mark on that
test?" Asked mother angrily. Asked by his angry mother, Joe just
kept silent and went out.
A few moment, Joe came back home and
met his mother again. His mother asked the same question.
Joe answered steadily, "Because
of absence."
"You mean you were absent on the day of
the test?" Mother wondered.
Joe replied, "No, but the kid who sits next to me was."
Joe replied, "No, but the kid who sits next to me was."
Story of Venus and the Cat
A Cat fell in love with a
handsome young man, and begged to the god Venus to change her into a woman.
Venus was very gracious about it, and changed her at once into a beautiful
maiden. The young man fell in love with her at first sight and after a while
they were married. One day Venus thought she would like to see whether the Cat
had changed her habits as well as her form; so she let a mouse run loose in the
room where they were. Forgetting everything, the young woman jumped
and ate the mouse directly. The god was so disgusted and she changed her
into a Cat again.
An Old Man in a Bus Halt
One day an old man stood up on a bus halt. He looked waiting
something. Then he asked to a young man near him. "Excuse me, may I ask
you something?" said the old man. "Yes, what is it?" the young
man replied. "What time is the bus to Bandung?" asked the old man.
"5 minutes later," the young man answered. "What time is the bus
to Semarang?" the old man asked again. "Around 10 minutes
later," the young man answered briefly. "Where are you going to go,
sir?" "I just want cross this street. I'm afraid they hit me,"
the old man answered then walked crossing the street.
